The senior girls basketball team traveled to Renfrew, yesterday, to play St. Joe’s High School. The girls set the pace of the game throughout all 4 quarters securing a tight 33-30 win over the Jaguars. Well done girls!
Junior Girls Basketball – the team had a great start last night against a strong St. Joe’s team and were only down by a few points at half-time. Unfortunately, some turnovers and fast breaks in the second half shifted the momentum of the game. Great team effort ladies. No practice tonight. Our final home game of the season will be on Thursday against Opeongo. Be prompt in getting ready, so that we can take our yearbook team picture before the warm-up.
Pass N’ Smash – the SAC’s annual volleyball tournament is this Friday, October 25. Sign-up your team of 6-8 players at the SAC, at lunch, and pick-up your teams’ permission forms. You must have at least three males and three females on your team. $5.00 per player. Your team’s permission forms and team entry fees are due today, at lunch hour. No late entries or individual forms or fees will be accepted. Prizes will be awarded to the champions in each division as well as to the team with the most creative jersey. If your team name is deemed inappropriate, you will be given a new team name. Thus, have your name approved by one of our SAC staff advisors if you are unsure.
Haunted House – you voted and we are delivering. The Student Council haunted house will open its doors on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, at lunch. Entry will cost $2 or two non perishable food items. It will be the scariest place in the school, other than Mr Conrad’s science lab. All proceeds go to our local food bank. Let’s scare hunger together! Are you ready?!
